About

The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue is a transformative reimagining of the National Youth Festival (NYF) 2025. Aligned with the Prime Minister's vision for increased youth involvement in shaping India's future, the revamped festival will be named the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue. This dynamic platform will empower young Indians to share their ideas and perspectives to contribute to the realization of the Viksit Bharat vision.

Technical Parameters

  1. The word limit for the essay submission is 750 words- 1000 words. The essays beyond the prescribed limit will not be considered for evaluation.
  2. Essays must be submitted exclusively on the specified themes below. Entries on any other themes will be disqualified.
  3. Participants can submit their entries in any of the following languages: Hindi, English, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Assamese, Bangla, or Gujarati.
  4. Submissions must not contain any derogatory, offensive, or objectionable language.
  5. Participants must submit their entries in PDF format, ensuring the file size does not exceed 4MB.

Essay Themes & their Descriptions

1. Tech for Viksit Bharat

Technology is the backbone of a developed nation, and India is harnessing the power of innovation to achieve its vision of Viksit Bharat. From groundbreaking advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics to digital governance and the successful implementation of 5G, India's tech revolution is shaping a future of efficiency, inclusivity, and progress. This topic invites participants to explore the role of technology in addressing social challenges, driving economic growth, and positioning India as a global leader in the digital age.

2. ⁠Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi

India's journey of development is deeply rooted in its rich cultural heritage. The theme ‘Vikas Bhi Virasat Bhi’ in itself highlights the harmonious balance between modern growth and the preservation of India's traditions, values, and historical legacy. Participants are encouraged to reflect on how India can continue to embrace progress while celebrating its unique identity, from reviving traditional arts to integrating cultural wisdom into modern policymaking..

3. Empowering Youth for Viksit Bharat

India's youth, brimming with talent and innovation, are pivotal to the nation’s journey toward becoming a global powerhouse. With over 65% of the population under 35, young leaders have the potential to drive economic growth, social reforms, and technological advancements. Initiatives like Skill India, Startup India, and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 are already empowering the youth through skill development, entrepreneurship, and future-ready education. This topic invites participants to explore how young minds can drive India’s progress by tackling key challenges and seizing growth opportunities. They can discuss innovative ideas, leadership roles, and strategies to build a resilient, inclusive, and developed nation.

4. Enhancing Productivity in Agriculture

Agriculture remains the lifeline of India’s economy, supporting millions of livelihoods. Enhancing agricultural productivity through modern techniques, sustainable practices, and government initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN), Soil Health Management (SHM), and Fasal Bima Yojana is essential to achieving food security and rural prosperity. India’s progress in international sports and initiatives like Fit India Movement reflect its commitment to nurturing talent and promoting a healthy lifestyle. Participants are encouraged to discuss strategies to develop world-class sporting infrastructure, encourage grassroots participation, and make fitness a national priority.

7. Making India the Global Manufacturing Powerhouse

With the Make in India initiative, India aims to establish itself as a global manufacturing hub. By leveraging its demographic dividend, technological advancements, and policy reforms, India can boost industrial growth and attract investments. This topic invites ideas on overcoming challenges, enhancing competitiveness, and positioning India as a leader in manufacturing across various sectors.

8. Steering India towards a Fully Sustainable Future

Existing schemes like the National Solar Mission, UJALA for energy efficiency, and FAME for electric vehicles have already made significant strides. The historic 33% reservation for women in legislative bodies marks a transformative step toward ensuring their representation and decision-making power in shaping the nation's future. This topic invites participants to share ideas on fostering gender equality, enhancing opportunities for women in leadership, education, and entrepreneurship, and building a society where every individual can thrive, contributing to a stronger and more inclusive India.

The Top winners of the activity will get the chance to present his/her idea in front of PM, Shri Narendra Modi.

Terms and Conditions

  1. Participants must be between 15 and 29 years of age.
  2. Participants can submit their entries in any of the following languages: Hindi, English, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Bangla, or Gujarati.
  3. All entries must be submitted through the MyGov.in the portal only. Entries submitted through any other medium/mode will not be considered for evaluation.
  4. The content should be original, plagiarism-free, and not published elsewhere.
  5. The essay must not contain any derogatory, offensive, or objectionable language.
  6. The essay should reflect the participant's vision, ideas, and insights for a developed India. Adherence to the word limit specified in the competition guidelines is mandatory.
  7. Essays will be evaluated based on originality, relevance to the theme, creativity, and coherence.
  8. By submitting an entry, participants grant organisers the right to use, publish, and promote the content in any form.
  9. Participants are limited to one entry. A participant can send one entry only. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries will be considered invalid.
  10. The participants must be the same person who has written the essay. The Essay should reflect original thinking and presentation.
  11. Any changes to the Terms and Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria, or cancellation of the Contest, will be updated/posted on the MyGov platform. It would be the responsibility of the participants to keep themselves informed of any changes in the Term & Conditions/ Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria stated for this Contest.
  12. If any entry is found to violate the guidelines, it will be removed from the evaluation process without giving any intimation or explanation to the participant.
