Innovation for Her - Ideas for Women’s Safety

About

Nirbhaya Fund is a dedicated non-lapsable fund established by the Government of India. Ensuring the safety and security of women and girls is a collective responsibility.

The Ministry of Women and Child Development under the Nirbhaya Fund in collaboration with MyGov invites innovative ideas and project proposals aimed at enhancing women’s safety.

This nationwide initiative seeks to crowdsource innovative, scalable, and impactful ideas to enhance women’s safety across diverse socio-economic settings.

Through this competition citizens, Students, start-ups, institutions, and organizations are encouraged to submit solutions that leverage technology enabled safety mechanisms, community engagement, improved infrastructure, ideas on legal provisions and awareness-driven interventions.

Participation Guidelines

  1. File Format should be in PDF format not exceeding 2MB.
  2. Word Limit: 4 Pages or 2000 words. It can include relevant images/pictorial views.
  3. Entries must be submitted on MyGov.in only
  4. Ideas/Proposals must be original and not generated using AI tools or plagiarized.

Terms and Conditions

  1. The contest is open to all Indian citizens.
  2. This initiative is intended solely to invite innovative ideas/project proposals related to women’s safety under the Nirbhaya Fund.
  3. One entry per participant would be entertained.
  4. Submission of entries under this initiative shall not be construed as a commitment for financial assistance, employment, procurement, partnership, empanelment, or implementation under the Nirbhaya Fund or any other scheme/programme of the Government of India.
  5. The Ministry reserves the right to shortlist, accept, reject, any submission without assigning any reason thereof.
  6. Submission of entries does not guarantee publication, showcasing, hosting, or display on the website/portal or any official platform of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, MyGov.
  7. The ideas/proposals submitted should be original in nature and must not infringe upon any copyright, intellectual property rights, or existing proprietary work.
  8. All the submissions will become  intellectual property of Ministry of Women and Child Development and the Ministry will have the exclusive right to use, reproduce, modify, publish and display the ideas.
  9. The decision of the competent authority regarding evaluation and recognition of entries shall be final and binding.
  10. These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the Indian laws.
  11. By sending the entries, the participants accept and agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions, mentioned above.
  12. The contest shall be governed by the laws of India and Any dispute arising from the contest will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in New Delhi.
