Introduction / परिचय
Ministry of Education, Government of India in association with Ministry of Defence is glad to announce an essay and patriotic poetry competition for school students.
This competition is being organized to celebrate, “Republic day”, popularly known as “GanatantraDiwas” on 26th January. India became a republic on 26 January 1950. On this day, the Constitution of India was implemented in our country by removing the Government of India Act (1935).
Celebration of this occasion annually helps youth and children of the country to be aware of the significance of unity and integrity of this great nation and provides an opportunity to everyone to be proud of their nation endowed with rich and varied heritage.
To celebrate the soul of “Republic day” while adhering to COVID-19 protocols, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education, Government of India, in association with Ministry of Defence, has organized online Essayand Patriotic Poetry Competition during the period of 20th January to 30th January, 2021 on MyGov platform.
शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार रक्षा मंत्रालय के सहयोग से स्कूली छात्रों के लिए एक निबंध और देशभक्ति कविता प्रतियोगिता की घोषणा किया है।
इस प्रतियोगिता को 26 जनवरी, जिसे लोकप्रिय रूप से गणतंत्र दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाता है, के अवसर शुरू किया गया है। 26 जनवरी 1950 के दिन भारत एक गणतंत्र बना था। इस दिन भारत सरकार अधिनियम (1935) को हटाकर भारत का संविधान हमारे देश में लागू किया गया था।
यह जश्न प्रतिवर्ष देश के युवाओं और बच्चों को इस महान राष्ट्र की एकता और अखंडता के महत्व के बारे में जागरूक करने में मदद करता है और सभी को समृद्ध और विविध विरासत के साथ संपन्न अपने राष्ट्र पर गर्व करने का अवसर प्रदान करता है।
कोविड-19 प्रोटोकॉल का पालन करते हुए "गणतंत्र दिवस" का जश्न मनाने के लिए, स्कूल शिक्षा और साक्षरता विभाग, शिक्षा मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार ने रक्षा मंत्रालय के सहयोग से 20 जनवरी से 30 जनवरी, 2021 के दौरान माईगव प्लेटफॉर्म पर ऑनलाइन निबंध एवं देशभक्ति कविता प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया है।

Participation Guidelines / भागीदारी के दिशानिर्देश
Guidelines for the Participants:
The Essay and Poetry Competitionaremeant for school students of classes VI to XII from schools under CBSE, KVS, NVS, NIOS and all school boards/SCERTs at the State/UT Level.
Word Limits of Essay for each theme
The essay should be within 1500* word limit.
*The essay should not exceed word limit. This would lead to disqualification.
Word Limits of Patriotic Poetry Writing for each theme
The poem should be within 100* word limit
Mode of submission
- The participant should submit the write-up in PDF file format only.
- Visit the website www.MyGov.in to submit the essay.
- Write-up text should be submitted in readable Font of Hindi/English.
- Font size should be 12 for English and 14 for Hindi.
- Line spacing should be 1.15 only.
- Entries must be in either in English or Hindi
प्रतिभागियों के लिए दिशानिर्देश:
यह निबंध और कविता प्रतियोगिता सीबीएसई, केवीएस, एनवीएस, एनआईओएस और राज्य/केंद्रशासित प्रदेश स्तर पर सभी स्कूल बोर्ड/एससीईआरटी के तहत स्कूलों से छठी से बारहवीं कक्षा के स्कूली छात्रों के लिए आयोजित की गयी है।
प्रत्येक विषय पर निबंध की शब्द सीमाएँ
निबंध 1500* की शब्द सीमा के भीतर होनी चाहिए।
*निबंध शब्द सीमा से अधिक नहीं होना चाहिए। इससे निबंध को अयोग्य घोषित किया जा सकता है।
प्रत्येक विषय के लिए देशभक्ति कविता लेखन की शब्द सीमाएँ
कविता 100* शब्दों की शब्द सीमा के भीतर होनी चाहिए
भेजने का तरीका
- प्रतिभागी को केवल पीडीएफ फाइल फॉर्मेट में अपनी एंट्री भेजना होगा।
- निबंध भेजने के लिए वेबसाइट www.MyGov.in पर जाएं।
- हिंदी/अंग्रेजी के पठनीय फांट में एंट्री भेजी जानी चाहिए।
- अंग्रेजी के लिए फांट का आकार 12 और हिंदी के लिए 14 होना चाहिए।
- लाइनिंग स्पेस केवल 1.15 होनी चाहिए।
- प्रवेश अंग्रेजी या हिंदी में होना चाहिए।

Terms and Conditions (Essay Competition)
- The competition is open to school students of classes VI to XII only.
- All entries must be submitted onMyGov.in. Entries submitted through any other medium/mode would not be considered for evaluation.
- A participant can send one entry only. In case it is found that any participant has submitted more than one entry, all the entries will be considered as invalid.
- The entry should be original. Copied entries will not be considered under the contest.
- The participant must be the same person who has written the write-up and plagiarism would not be accepted.
- Please note that the Essay must be original and should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act, 1957.
- Anyone found infringing on others’ copyright would be disqualified from the competition. Government of India does not bear any responsibility for copyright violations or infringements of intellectual property carried out by the participants.
- Mention of the author’s name/emails, etc. anywhere in the body of the essay will lead to disqualification.
- Participant is to make sure that their MyGov profile is accurate and updated since MoE would be using this for further communication. This includes details such as name, photo, complete postal address, email ID and phone number. Entries with incomplete profiles would not be considered.
- MoE reserves the right to cancel or amend all or any part of the Competition and/ or the Terms & Conditions/Technical Parameters/ Evaluation Criteria.

- एंट्री ओरिजल होना चाहिए। प्रतियोगिता के तहत कॉपी की गयी प्रविष्टियों पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
- प्रतिभागी वही व्यक्ति होना चाहिए जिसने लिखा है। साहित्यिक चोरी को स्वीकार नहीं किया जाएगा।
- कृपया ध्यान दें कि निबंध मूल होना चाहिए और भारतीय कॉपीराइट अधिनियम, 1957 के किसी भी प्रावधान का उल्लंघन नहीं करना चाहिए।
- दूसरों के कॉपीराइट का उल्लंघन करने वाला कोई भी व्यक्ति प्रतियोगिता से अयोग्य घोषित किया जाएगा। भारत सरकार प्रतिभागियों द्वारा किए गए बौद्धिक संपदा के कॉपीराइट उल्लंघन या उल्लंघन के लिए कोई जिम्मेदारी नहीं उठाती है।
- निबंध में कहीं भी लेखक के नाम/ईमेल आदि का उल्लेख से एंट्री अयोग्य घोषित की जाएगी।
- प्रतिभागी को यह सुनिश्चित करना है कि उनका MyGov प्रोफाइल सटीक और अपडेट है क्योंकि MoE आगे संचार के लिए इसका उपयोग करेगा। इसमें नाम, फोटो, पूरा डाक पता, ईमेल आईडी और फोन नंबर जैसे विवरण शामिल हों। अधूरी प्रोफाइल वाली एंट्रीज पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
- MoE प्रतियोगिता के सभी या किसी भी हिस्से को रद्द करने या संशोधित करने और/या नियम और शर्तों/टेक्निकल पैरामीटर/मूल्यांकन मानदंड के अधिकार को सुरक्षित रखता है।

- प्रतियोगिता केवल छठी से बारहवीं कक्षा के स्कूली छात्रों के लिए खुली है।
- सभी प्रविष्टियों को MyGov.in पर जमा करना होगा। मूल्यांकन के लिए किसी अन्य माध्यम/मोड के माध्यम से भेजी गयी एंट्रीज पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
- एक प्रतिभागी केवल एक एंट्री भेज सकता है। यदि यह पाया जाता है कि किसी भी प्रतिभागी ने एक से अधिक एंट्री भेजी हैं, तो सभी प्रविष्टियों को अमान्य माना जाएगा।

हालाँकि, नियम और शर्तें/तकनीकी पैरामीटर/मूल्यांकन मानदंड, या प्रतियोगिता को रद्द करने का कोई भी परिवर्तन, MyGov.in प्लेटफॉर्म पर अपडेट/पोस्ट किया जाएगा। प्रतिभागियों की यह जिम्मेदारी होगी कि वे इस प्रतियोगिता के लिए बताए गए नियमों और शर्तों/तकनीकी मानकों/मूल्यांकन मानदंड में किसी भी बदलाव के बारे में खुद को अपडेट रखें।
Criteria of Selection / चयन का मानदंड
- Selection of the best essay/poem will be taken up at two levels.Firstly, SCERTs may form a committee of experts to examine the entries at the State/UT level and select the 10 best entries.
- Next, the selected10 essays/poems from each State/UT will become a pool of selected essays/poems for final selection at the national level by a team of experts of NCERT.
- All the entries received within the due date will be placed before a Selection Committee for final selection. The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on all the contestants.
- Any legal proceedings arising out of the competition/its entries/winners shall be subject to jurisdiction of Delhi only.
- सर्वश्रेष्ठ निबंध / कविता का चयन दो स्तरों पर किया जाएगा। पहले स्तर पर SCERTs राज्य/केंद्रशासित प्रदेश स्तर पर प्रविष्टियों की जांच करने और 10 सर्वश्रेष्ठ प्रविष्टियों का चयन करने के लिए विशेषज्ञों की एक समिति बना सकते हैं।
- इसके बाद, प्रत्येक राज्य/केंद्रशासित प्रदेश से चयनित 10 निबंध/कविता एनसीईआरटी के विशेषज्ञों की एक टीम द्वारा राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अंतिम चयन के लिए चयनित निबंध/कविताओं का एक पूल बनाया जाएगा।
- नियत तिथि के भीतर प्राप्त सभी एंट्रीज को अंतिम चयन के लिए चयन समिति के समक्ष रखा जाएगा। चयन समिति का निर्णय अंतिम और सभी प्रतियोगियों पर बाध्यकारी होगा।
- प्रतियोगिता/इसकी प्रविष्टियों/विजेताओं से शुरू होने वाली कोई भी कानूनी कार्यवाही केवल दिल्ली के अधिकार क्षेत्र के अधीन होगी।
Certification and Award / प्रमाणन और पुरस्कार
राष्ट्रीय स्तर की प्रविष्टियों के लिए शीघ्र ही आकर्षक पुरस्कारों की घोषणा की जाएगी। हालांकि, भागीदारी प्रमाण पत्र उन सभी प्रतिभागियों के लिए NCERT और MyGov द्वारा संयुक्त रूप से जारी किए जाएंगे जो अपने निबंध और देशभक्ति कविता भेजते हैं।
