Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) takes immense pride in announcing the launch of the highly anticipated Cyber Security Grand Challenge (CSGC) 2.0 being implemented by Data Security Council of India (DSCI) in collaboration with MyGov.
The Cyber Security Grand Challenge stands as a testament to the commitment to fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within our nation. It plays a pivotal role in contributing to India's ambition of becoming a global leader in the field of cybersecurity. CSGC acts as a catalyst, propelling our country closer to these ambitious goals.
Now, Cyber Security Grand Challenge (CSGC) 2.0 will focus on recognizing and honouring startups that provide cutting-edge solutions to the Problem Statements posed by CSGC. It will also help focus on the development of capacity and competencies in critical areas of cybersecurity across the country.
In the CSGC 2.0, we will also extend recognition to ecosystem players who actively contribute to nurturing startups and fostering an environment conducive to cybersecurity research and innovation. CSGC 2.0 will place special emphasis on attracting more entrepreneurs.
Furthermore, CSGC 2.0 will expand the scope of recognition by qualifying six startups at the idea stage for each problem statement, resulting in a total of 36 startups recognized at this early stage, which is three times compared to CSGC 1.0.
An exciting addition to CSGC 2.0 is the introduction of an additional stage, the Go-To-Market stage, in addition to the Idea, Minimum Viable Product, and Final stages. Throughout the journey in CSGC2.0, startups will be provided with technical and business mentorship, helping them mature into successful ventures.
Most notably, CSGC 2.0 boasts a substantial total prize fund of INR 6.85 Crores, making it one of the most attractive and rewarding cybersecurity challenges in the nation. With these enhancements and a commitment to nurturing innovation and entrepreneurship, we anticipate that CSGC 2.0 will further elevate India's standing in the field of cybersecurity and inspire a new generation of cybersecurity leaders.
