What is the "League"

The Indian Swachhata League is India's first inter-city competition led by youth towards building Garbage Free Cities. More than 1,800 cities from Leh to Kanniyakumari participating by setting up a team for their city,and planning activities that will be undertaken on Seva Diwas, the 17th of September.

Citizens across India are invited to search for their cities here on MyGov and register to join their city teams in the Swachhata activities that have been planned.

  • Registration Start date: 11th Sept 2022
  • Please remember to carefully note down all location, time, and contact information provided for your city while filling out the form.

The competition

Once the event is completed, every city team will submit an official entry regarding their activities, along with photos and videos.  City teams will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Scale of youth engagement through volunteer registration on MyGov
  2. Innovativeness of the activities
  3. Impact of the activities

 

  • After evaluation, the 10 best teams across the country will be declared
  • Team Captains and other representatives of the winning teams will be invited to a national event in October 2022
